Veterans Matter

"I, Donald Edward Toothaker , do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, So Help Me God."

I took this oath in Boston on Dec 11th, 1985. It does not have an expiration date. I am proud of my service. It remains the single greatest thing that I have done for myself.

Many others before me, and since, have taken this oath. Many of them fought, and died, to secure the freedoms that we all enjoy today. Every veteran matters whether they served in a time of war or peace. They took an oath to be there for all of us. It is only right, and just, that we abide by a similar oath to be there for them in every regard. Support our veterans however you can.
